What is the difference between Cedar Shakes and Cedar
Shingles? Cedar Shingles are cut on both sides by a saw making them a
smooth refined surface product. Cedar Shakes are split on the
surface side to create a more rough rustic surface product
The second most common question is what grade should I use?
For houses, churches, commercial buildings we recommend only #1
blue label cedar products.
Why should I buy my shakes or shingles from you and not a
local lumber yard?
We not only stock the best grades but also are very selective of
the mills that we buy from making sure their product is not only
up to grade but above minimum standards.
